Transatlantic Green Platform
TGP Recommendations
The launch of the Transatlantic Green Platform on environmental technologies in 2008 resulted in strong demand for transatlantic cooperation to accelerate R&D and business initiatives in clean technologies.
Only a comprehensive approach encompassing public policies, financing, R&D, innovation, technology and market adoption by major corporations can provide the basis for a green revolution. The TGP is committed to favouring such an approach through an event that leads to the emergence of business opportunities, investments, partnerships and specific policy proposals.
Priorities for the 2009 Transatlantic Green Platform A more comprehensive approach We organize the event around three priorities:
- Placing our debates and cooperation in a perspective of market opportunities with our central theme “Global Cities, Green Growth”
- Reinforcing North American representation by attracting delegations from Canada, Massachusetts and other regions, in addition to California and Texas
- Mobilizing the transatlantic investor community including venture capital firms, business angels, hedge funds and corporations.
The goal is to mobilize the most active venture-capital firms and investors in clean technologies from both sides of the Atlantic and to become a reference for green industries and services and for policy makers.
